The appointment of Petr Lang is the next step in the ORGREZ Group’s long-term strategy, which focuses on the comprehensive transformation of the energy sector toward decentralization, digitization, and efficient asset management. Petr Lang is joining from his position as Head of Strategy at ČEZ Distribuce. He has contributed to major projects of national significance, such as the national low-voltage tariff reform, the implementation of smart metering, and the rollout of smart asset management.

Petr Lang brings to the company a unique insight into how energy distribution works and a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework, which is essential for the future stability of the energy sector.

In his new role, he will focus on developing business opportunities and services that will enable a better understanding of the dynamics of the modern power industry, maximize asset value, and ensure their efficient financing and operation. His primary focus is on customers who no longer want to merely passively consume energy but are actively seeking self-sufficiency and stability.

Ing. Petr Lang
Petr Lang is a senior executive with a proven track record in the areas of energy market design, corporate strategy, and energy infrastructure transformation. As the chief architect of the upcoming national tariff reform in the low-voltage sector, he focused on unlocking flexibility, digitizing networks, and completely redesigning the energy market in the Czech Republic.
As Head of Strategy at ČEZ Distribuce, he was responsible for long-term strategic direction, asset lifecycle management, and investment program management. Previously, he worked at the EG.D Group (a member of the E.ON Group) as Head of Asset Management, where he was responsible for implementing predictive maintenance principles, integrating data-driven decision-making into network planning and operations, and optimizing investment strategies. He gained his experience with a digital and data-driven mindset while working at the global WPP Group and fully applied it at EG.D and ČEZ Distribuce.
He holds a degree in economic engineering from the Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, traveling, reading, and cooking.
