Sustainable heating plant design

As part of ORGREZ Group, we have developed a proposal for the reconstruction of a local gas-fired heating plant, the purpose of which is to reduce the carbon footprint of heat production in the Rychnovsko locality. The sustainable heat source has been designed to avoid increasing the current production cost of heat.

The study included the design of the optimal mix and performance range of energy sources, including a carbon footprint assessment and a comparison of the cost-effectiveness after refurbishment.

The output design consists of a PV plant with maximized utilization of its output, a hybrid heat source in the form of a combination of a cascade of heat pumps and an electric boiler, and hot water storage.

To achieve optimal economic results, the system is designed to allow connection to the daily electricity market.
