The Prosenice sugar factory is one of the few Czech sugar factories that uses steam production from natural gas for its operation. The sugar factory has long been striving to achieve maximum operational efficiency, relying primarily on savings in heat production.
For this purpose, we designed, delivered and commissioned a system of waste heat recovery from the condensate for preheating the combustion air of the natural gas burner. Thanks to the installation of the preheating system, higher operational efficiency was achieved, energy production costs were reduced and the carbon footprint of the sugar mill operation was also reduced.
